The first Vande Bharat sleeper train using Russian technology is likely to face another six-month delay, with Indian Railways now targeting March 2027 for the prototype. Kinet Railway Solutions, which has a Rs 14,400 crore contract for 120 trainsets, is yet to resolve issues involving several components and obtain the required approvals.
