Sarah Bonnici is set to take the stage for a one-night-only performance in Valletta exploring the idea of the sacred feminine through live music and visual art.Titled BIBLICAL, the performance will take place at the Malta Society of Arts on 9th October at 8pm and is being presented by the Archbishop’s Delegate for Culture.Bonnici will perform solo on piano in a stripped-back concert accompanied by fragments of sacred imagery and artworks by visual artist Charlie Cauchi. The performance will draw connections between biblical figures including Eve, Salome and Bathsheba and contemporary music by artists such as FKA twigs, Olivia Dean and Florence + the Machine. The project brings together live music and video installation to explore how ideas surrounding the sacred feminine continue to appear in culture today.Bonnici represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024, while Cauchi is currently one of three artists representing Malta at La Biennale di Venezia.BIBLICAL is supported by Azzopardi Studio and forms part of the Archbishop’s Delegate for Culture’s wider work bringing together faith, culture and local artistic talent. For more information and to purchase tickets visit ShowsHappening.Cover photo credit: Carlton Agius•
