Malta International Airport will be carrying out a full-scale emergency exercise on Tuesday 13th October from 5pm onwards.The exercise will bring together national stakeholders and other entities that would be involved in responding to a real-life emergency at the airport.According to MIA, the exercise is being held in line with international and European requirements and is designed to test how prepared different entities are to respond to a crisis.It will also test communication systems and emergency resources currently in place.Passengers travelling on the day are being reassured that the exercise will not affect their journey.MIA also warned that members of the public may notice unusual activity, including several emergency vehicles around the airport perimeter, but stressed that there is no cause for alarm.The airport thanked the public for its cooperation.•
