New Jersey man allegedly hurls racist slurs at a stranger in a Walmart parking lot. Then he refuses to leave his car: ‘Get out of the car, boss’

Wait 5 sec.

A viral Instagram video posted by Abe (@thegirlslovemebad) appears to capture a parking lot dispute that turned into a confrontation involving racial remarks. The footage, which has gained 2 million views, shows the exchange outside a Walmart in Kearny, New Jersey. Abe filmed the scene after what he described as a minor disagreement over a parking spot. In the Instagram caption, Abe said he never thought he would be making a post like this in 2026, especially after spending all these years in New Jersey. He wrote that a grown man took his spot and then started throwing racial slurs at him because of the color of his skin. Abe added that he never expected to experience racism this directly after years in the state, particularly coming from Essex County, and that the racist comments were not working in the other man’s favor. According to the video, the driver yelled at Abe through the windshield, calling him a “f–king Black a– piece of sh–.” The same account stated that the driver also said Abe’s skin color was as “brown as sh–.” The man stayed inside his car with the doors locked and the window cracked while the filming continued. The driver stayed inside the locked vehicle during the exchange Abe challenged the driver to get out, saying, “Get out of the car, boss. Get out the car. Let’s just get this over with.” The driver did not exit the vehicle. Abe then pointed out what he saw as a contradiction, telling the man, “See how you can say all that stuff but be a coward at the same time?” The driver appeared to respond by saying, “Yeah, I can.” He followed that by stating, “I’m d–n proud of it,” and added, “I’m gonna stay here and make you wait.” Abe stood directly in front of the driver’s side door and answered, “No, I’m gonna stay here and make you wait.” He told the man he was the one inside the car, inside the hot car, trapped and scared of the Black man he had been talking about. After more back-and-forth, Abe leaned close to the window and said in a very quiet voice, “Get out of the car, boss.” The driver then slammed his fist against the car window several times. Abe responded, “Not scared, boss. You’re just punching your own glass. Punch it harder so it could break. Do it!” The man punched the glass yet again. Parking lot confrontations over a spot can escalate quickly, as when a Florida woman got into a verbal altercation with an Army veteran over a Walmart parking spot and exited her car with a gun. Abe moved closer to the window with his phone and told the man, “Say your name for the people.” In a comment under the post, Abe wrote that he never intended on actually hurting the man because he was truly scared and that he does not prey on the weak. He stated that he enjoyed making him eat his words and be scared, adding that if someone can say all that, they should be able to stand on it, and that the man walked away unharmed. Abe also wrote in the caption that the situation did not make him mad and was actually comical. He said that being so bothered by another man’s skin color that racism is all someone can fall back on tells him everything he needs to know. He clarified that he was not talking about white people in general but about racist people, and that there is a big difference. Viewers left reactions under the video describing what they saw in the footage. One commenter noted that the driver had him quiet for like 3 minutes and had him thinking. Another said they watched it like a movie and that you can see the fear in the dude’s eyes. A third wrote that they start to malfunction as soon as they are given a crumb of their own medicine because they do not give them a taste, while another commenter said he looks like he is about to have a medical emergency. Racism can show up in everyday places, such as when a neighbor allegedly calls a man an outcast and targets his parking spot.
