I built a Slack app because I kept rewriting messages five times before sending them

Wait 5 sec.

I spend most of my workday in Slack, and I noticed how much time I lose second-guessing messages. Is this too blunt? Too formal? Should I add an exclamation point so I don’t sound annoyed? So I built Vibe Shift. You type /professional (or /casual, /friendly, /concise, /cheerful, /encouraging) in front of a message, check the rewrite, and send it as yourself. It can also read a thread and draft a reply when you’re not sure how to answer. A few things I learned building it: My first launch flopped and I didn’t know why. Turns out every install from my website failed at the last step. I had only ever tested in my own workspace, where it was already installed. Pricing was harder than building. People can paste into ChatGPT for free, so I priced it for teams: $9.99/month covers a whole workspace, with a free plan to try it. It works in other languages too. Write in Spanish, send polished English. It’s free to try: vibeshift.app I’d love feedback, especially on the onboarding. Is it clear what to do after you install it? submitted by /u/salsajnverde [link] [comments]
