If there is free childcare and money available, how come the hospital does not connect low income mothers with these programs and schedule a follow up visit to check on the mother and child? They are charging tax payers an unbelievable amount of money for the birth, it would be the least they could do, give the new mothers the information on where and how to get food for her baby.
