Opposition leading party, National Unity Platform (NUP) has retained Nakawa West MP Joel Ssenyonyi as the Leader of Opposition in Parliament (LoP). NUP also retained Jinja South Division East MP Paul Mwiru as chief opposition whip, while Kayunga district woman representative Harriet Nakwede was maintained as deputy chief opposition whip.
