Maltese swimmers are continuing to smash national records, with multiple standout performances recorded during competitions in London and Messina.Nathan Cachia set a new national record in the Men’s 200m Butterfly after clocking an impressive 2:03.30 in London on 24th May.Meanwhile, Matthew Satariano broke the Men’s 400m Individual Medley national record with a new best time of 4:30.67, another major achievement for Maltese swimming on the international stage.On the women’s side, Sasha Gatt continued her dominant rise by setting new national records in both the 200m Freestyle and 800m Freestyle events.Gatt recorded a time of 2:02.47 in the 200m Freestyle before going on to clock an impressive 8:46.69 in the 800m Freestyle in London.Both Sasha and Matthew also managed to break their records twice, first during the heats and then again in the finals.Young Maltese swimmer Samuel Camilleri also joined the record-breaking list after setting a new Age Group D record in the Men’s 200m Butterfly with a time of 2:09.10 during competition in Messina.The latest results continue highlighting a hugely promising moment for Maltese swimming, with athletes across multiple age groups continuing to raise the bar internationally.Share these amazing accomplishments!•
