Momentum has issued a final message ahead of election day, thanking supporters and insisting that “the journey for real change is only beginning”.In a statement by Arnold Cassola, the party reflected on its first election campaign, saying many Maltese and Gozitan citizens are frustrated with what it described as decades of politics dominated by the two major parties.Momentum said its campaign focused on issues such as overdevelopment, environmental protection, traffic, governance, public sector abuse and transparency.The party argued that many people feel abandoned by traditional political parties and were looking for a more “credible, principled and forward-looking alternative”.Cassola also thanked the party’s candidates, volunteers and supporters for helping spread Momentum’s message across Malta and Gozo despite what he described as limited financial resources compared to larger parties.In the statement, voters were encouraged to “vote with hope and conviction” rather than fear or tribalism.Momentum said that regardless of the election result, it believes it has already helped give a voice to citizens who previously felt unheard.Has Malta’s political landscape started changing?•
