ShareInter want to hold onto Alessandro Bastoni as he enters the final two years of his contract, with Barcelona long-term admirers of him.Alessandro Bastoni has not expressed any desire to leave Inter for Barcelona and will remain with the Serie A champions next season, according to club president Giuseppe Marotta.Bastoni was a key part of the Nerazzurri side that clinched a domestic Italian double in Cristian Chivu's first season at the helm, winning the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia.  The centre-back made 28 Serie A appearances in 2025-26, contributing to eight clean sheets. He ranked in the top three Inter players for interceptions (23), clearances (80) and aerial duels won (52) despite missing time due to shin and ankle injuries, also only being dribbled past by an opponent on 10 occasions. The 27-year-old has been linked with Barcelona for several seasons, though attacking reinforcements appear to be the Blaugrana's main focus at present as they close in on the signing of Anthony Gordon and target a permanent move for Marcus Rashford.  Bastoni is under contract at San Siro until June 2028, and Marotta expects him to honour that deal.Asked if Bastoni was expected to stay by DAZN, Marotta said: "I think so. "We, in general, are not a selling club. If a player does leave, it is because he expressed the desire to move on."I have to say that Bastoni has absolutely not expressed the desire to leave. He is happy here, we do not need to sell, so I think he will stay with us."This team has a solid core, a real skeleton in place thanks to players who have been here for a few years. "I am talking about Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni, for instance. It is important now for them to transmit that winning mentality to the newcomers too."Inter's Serie A and Coppa Italia double was the third in their history, after previously winning both trophies in 2005-06 and completing the treble under Jose Mourinho in 2009-10, when they also won the Champions League.Inter want to hold onto Alessandro Bastoni as he enters the final two years of his contract, with Barcelona long-term admirers of him.Alessandro Bastoni has not expressed any desire to leave Inter for Barcelona and will remain with the Serie A champions next season, according to club president Giuseppe Marotta.Bastoni was a key part of the Nerazzurri side that clinched a domestic Italian double in Cristian Chivu's first season at the helm, winning the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia.
