Does anyone else rewrite their own copy way too many times?

Sometimes I’ll spend more time rewriting a headline or intro than actually finishing the piece itself. What’s funny is that the first version is often more natural, but after editing it too much, everything starts sounding forced or overly “marketing-like.” I’m curious if other copywriters deal with the same thing or if you’ve found a better balance between polishing and overediting.
