Simon Jordan has launched a spectacular attack on Vinai Venkatesham after the Tottenham CEO sent a message to Spurs fans about the club’s problems. While Tottenham avoided the ultimate disaster on the final day of the season, the current Spurs board has made itself enemy number one in the eyes of some fans with the decisions they have made this season.Venkatesham and the Spurs hierarchy have thus attempted to reach out to the supporters over the past few days to shed light on the issues plaguing the club and the path moving forward.Tottenham have vowed to back De Zerbi to build the squad he wants, while the club’s CEO has also been speaking publicly about the problems behind the scenes.Credit: @harryphoto.kr / InstagramSimon Jordan slams Tottenham’s leadership for trying to scapegoat Daniel LevyVenkatesham has said Tottenham were in a significantly worse state than he thought when he first arrived, revealing that the club had fallen behind their rivals in many areas tied to high performance.Jordan sees these words from the Spurs CEO and the club’s owners as an attempt to shift the blame on Levy, and he questioned why they themselves have run the club so poorly.Reacting to the words from the current Tottenham leadership, the former Crystal Palace owner told talkSPORT: “We’ve seen how they run it though, haven’t we? So, whilst I’m appearing to defend Daniel Levy, I’m not his PR, I’m just giving a balanced view that I don’t think these guys are up to much and that we’ll see what they do. It’s very, very easy, and anyone with a brain that isn’t biased should look at that and read the room and go, ‘Well, what about you lot? Because you aren’t much better either.’“I don’t like bullies, I don’t like people who gang up on people who aren’t there to defend themselves, so if Daniel wanted to defend himself, he should. But the fact is, they are part of it and if they suggest that they’re not, it’s just silly, and to suggest they can just lay it at the door.”Jordan questions Vinai Venkatesham’s leadership qualitiesThe outspoken pundit also unleashed on Venkatesham, accusing him of showing ‘cowardice’, as well as of being ‘spineless’ and ‘ingenious’.Jordan suggested that the 45-year-old is in no place to point fingers at others, given the poor decisions he has made over the last 12 months. He said about the Spurs CEO: “If that’s your leader, be frightened, be very frightened because that’s not leadership, that’s cowardice, that’s running with the hare and hunting with the hounds.“I realise we can’t all be revolutionaries, but to be so spineless and to be so ingenious… it makes you want to see these guys get served up. How have they got the audacity to say that ultimately everything is in someone else’s camp when they’ve presided over 12 months?”READ MORE: Roberto De Zerbi admits already he feels a ‘connection’ with Tottenham fansThe post Former Premier League chairman blasts Tottenham CEO Vinai Venkatesham in wake of Levy’s exit appeared first on Spurs Web.
