The woman, who braked immediately, sustained minor injuries in the impact. The front of her scooter was slightly damaged.The Fire and Rescue Services said they received a call about the tree keeling over around 9.35 a.m. Two other persons sustained minor injuries in the incident and were taken to General Hospital in an ambulance, they said.A fire force team from Chenkalchoola cut the tree and branches. The plan was to load these onto a Corporation vehicle for carting the tree segments away, fire force personnel said.A motorbike parked under the tree sustained minor damage when the tree fell.A major accident was averted as not many vehicles were on the road.The city has been receiving intermittent rains for the past few days.
