Isaac reached out with both metaphorical hands to search for the city’s inertia. He could see flashes of various colors of magic and the inevitable smoke as they swooped into the fighting. For some reason, no matter what superpowers were on display, there was always a fire. When he was at the hospital, there had been more burn injuries and smoke inhalation than any other complaint in the wake of a super-fight, even if it was literally just two water supers fighting. Some of the candyfloss bridges flashed past as Shay sped toward a target she had selected, picking out patterns from the chaos. Sarah grunted agreement as smoke swept over the feeling gaggle. Three couples and a gaggle of gangly young lunarians, age impossible to tell, vanished into thin air as Sarah exercised her illusionary powers. His target was the taller of the fighting pair, who marginally less flimsy-looking and holding a bright coral orb rather than a weapon, runes flashing from both the surface and depths. The strips of cloth that moonies used for clothing didn’t seem to be enchanted, just there to protect modesty and expose skin covered in runes.Lunarian (...)
