GI Preakness Stakes winner Napoleon Solo (Liam's Map) has been sold to ESPOIR USA, Inc., according to a report by the Daily Racing Form's David Grening.Previously owned by Al Golds's Gold Square LLC, the two-time Grade I winner will remain with trainer Chad Summers who told Grening, “Very appreciative of everything that Al did to get us to this point. It's going to feel awkward putting different blinkers and different silks on him, but Napoleon's still Napoleon and we're excited to make him champion 3-year-old at the end of the year, and they can hold the trophy up together,” Summers said. “I'm appreciative of the new owner allowing us to keep the horse.”Napoleon Solo remains on target for the GI Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park July 18. The colt's new connections plan to race him next year as a 4-year-old. At the conclusion of his racing career, he will retire to Lane's End, bloodstock agent David Ingordo told the DRF.The post Preakness Winner Napoleon Solo Sold, Still To Target Haskell appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
