On Saturday, guests boarded the Disney Treasure for a seven-day voyage to the Virgin Islands and Disney Cruise Line’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay. Unfortunately, as soon as they stepped on the pool deck, passengers noticed something very wrong with one of the premier attractions on board: the AquaMouse water coaster.AquaMouse Malfunction on the Disney TreasureCredit: DisneyThe AquaMouse water slide is available exclusively on the Disney Treasure, Disney Wish, and Disney Destiny. Guests ride the Mickey Mouse-themed water coaster in a large inflated tube, soaring over the ocean and through dark passageways featuring animated cartoon shorts, lighting, music, and other special effects.Unfortunately, guests on the current seven-day sailing of the Disney Treasure likely won’t have the chance to experience AquaMouse. It’s unclear if the water slide will open during the current Eastern Caribbean sailing or remain closed through the next voyage, which begins on May 30.
