I’ve formed a technical analysis thesis to capitalize on lower gold prices and a significant rebound. My final analysis highlights three key confluences supporting a higher gold price: Divergence: The blue moving average on volume and the blue trend line on price are diverging, indicating weakening downside momentum as trading activity drops. The price is reacting near the point of control (POC), which could attract responsive buyers due to previous acceptance. Price Levels: After several months trading within the value area, the price has now returned to the POC. Since most imbalances are filled, the market might seek higher levels if buyers reclaim nearby structures and maintain acceptance above value. The value area low (VAL) could serve as a stop-loss point. Demand: Additional confluence comes from the price returning to demand zones. Historically, the commodity respects demand zones, and a reaction has already started. Our secondary demand zone appears stronger and may serve as the last line of defense if other confluences fail, with the stop-loss below the VAL.
