Three men, including a Macedonian national previously deported from Malta over domestic violence-related offences, have been forcibly removed from the country following separate immigration operations.According to the Immigration Police, the 36-year-old Macedonian man had originally been issued with a Removal and Return Order earlier this year after being found guilty of multiple offences, including domestic violence and misuse of a mobile phone.Authorities had also imposed a ban preventing him from entering the Schengen Area for several years. Despite the ban, the man allegedly attempted to re-enter Malta in April but was stopped by border officials and Immigration Police stationed at the airport. He was subsequently held at a detention centre under the supervision of the Detention Services Agency until arrangements for his forced deportation were completed. Two other men from a North African country were also deported after previously entering Malta irregularly by sea.The pair had applied for protection in Malta, but both their applications and appeals were rejected after authorities determined they did not qualify. One of the men was detained during an immigration enforcement inspection, while the other was arrested in Xemxija during a traffic control operation carried out by the Roads Policing Unit. All three men remained in detention until the forced return operations were carried out by authorities.•
