Statistician Vincent Marmarà’s latest survey for the 2026 General Election campaign indicates that the Labour Party has extended its lead, with projections placing it around 30,000 votes ahead of the Nationalist Party.The poll was conducted between 14th and 20th May through telephone and mobile interviews using a sample of 1,500 respondents aged 16 and over. The survey carries a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of ±2.5%.According to the survey, the projected gap between the two major parties could range between 27,000 and 33,000 votes depending on turnout and how undecided voters eventually cast their ballots, averaging around 30,000 votes in Labour’s favour.The survey also marks a gradual increase from Marmarà’s previous two polls, which projected Labour leads of 28,000 and 29,000 votes respectively.Did you expect this gap?•
