190 Trees Planted By Sliema Wanderers Youth Academy In Ħ’Attard

Sliema Wanderers FC Youth Academy joined forces with Ambjent Malta to plant 190 trees as part of the second phase of the Wied Inċita project in Ħ’Attard.Children representing the academy, alongside their families, took part in a number of environmental and educational activities during the initiative.The Wied Inċita park is set to expand by a further 7,000 square metres as part of ongoing environmental restoration works.Environment Minister Miriam Dalli attended the event together with members of the Ħ’Attard Local Council and Ambjent Malta officials.Speaking during the activity, Dalli said the first phase of the project had already created 20,000 square metres of environmental space for families, with additional expansion plans still underway.Several local and indigenous trees are expected to be planted as part of the continuing works at the site.What areas in Malta need more trees and open spaces?•
