We’ve had 2 modern Mortal Kombat movies, each filled with easter eggs, references, and a ton of fan-favorite characters. But Mortal Kombat has so many iconic characters and the runtime can only be so long that not everybody can be included. That’s understandable; however, if they do make a third Mortal Kombat movie, there are some characters that I would love to see on the big screen. So, without further ado, here are 5 characters who should be in Mortal Kombat 3. \P.S. Spoilers for Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 inbound.5 Characters That Need to be in Mortal Kombat 3NightwolfKintaroRainKenshiKuai Liang Sub-Zero1. NightwolfNightwolf made a very quick, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in Mortal Kombat 1 (2021), as an old sketch. That was the extent of his screentime. Though an interesting character like Nightwolf needs more than just a few seconds as an easter egg.\He doesn’t need to have a giant, main role in Mortal Kombat 3, but it would be nice to see him included in the cast. With a lot of Earthrealm champions dead after the last movie, it would make sense for Raiden to recruit more people. Although Shao Kahn was defeated and Earthrealm won the tournament, threats are always looming.\At the very least, give him a cool fight scene or something.2. KintaroTruth be told, I would be happy to see any Shokan make it in Mortal Kombat 3. Sheeva would be cool, and I think if the movies are taking inspiration from some of the latest games, specifically Mortal Kombat 11, it would make sense for her to be the one that’s included - because of her relationship with Sindel and Kitana.\With all that being said, I think I would prefer seeing Kintaro more. There are a few reasons for that. Kintaro hasn’t appeared in a live-action Mortal Kombat film before, and I would be very interested to see how they bring him to life. He’s different from both Goro and Sheeva in that he has fur and generally has a whole big cat thing going for himself.\Kintaro is so unique-looking and has been underrepresented in the Mortal Kombat franchise for a long time that I think he deserves to have his time in the spotlight.3. RainMoral Kombat 2 spent a lot of screentime talking about and even showing Edenia, which was awesome. There’s also plenty of Edenians in the movie, like Kitana, Jade, Sindel, and Jerrod. But there are a few Edenians that were missing: Tanya and Rain. I would love to see either character make it in the next film, but I give the edge to Rain.\Two reasons for that. Firstly, I think seeing Rain’s water-based powers on the big screen would be immensely cool. Imagine him and Liu Kang going at it. Secondly, I think that if Rain is introduced in the films, it could be a good excuse to learn more about the Gods. This is because his father is a god, making Rain a demigod. 4. KenshiMortal Kombat 1 introduced a brand new character called Cole Young, who’s not in the games, and made him the lead of the film. That was a bad move, but everyone and their mom had the same idea to fix it: What if Cole Young were to lose his eyesight and become the blind, telekinetic swordsman Kenshi? Lewis Tan, the actor who plays Cole Young, has a striking resemblance to Kenshi. He’s also a fan of the games and of the character, so I’m 100% he would be into the idea of pivoting from Cole Young to Kenshi.\And no offense to Cole, but Kenshi is 1,000 times more interesting. I mean, let me repeat myself. He’s a blind, telekinetic swordsman. It doesn’t get cooler than that.\I might also be biased because Kenshi is one of my favorite characters, so I would love to see him in a live-action setting.5. Kuai Liang Sub-ZeroBi-Han, the original Sub-Zero, is heavily featured in Mortal Kombat 1. He then makes a return in Mortal Kombat 2 as Noob Saibot, although I’m pretty sure they never call him that. However, someone who has yet to make an appearance is Kuai Liang, his younger brother. Unlike Bi Han, Kuai Liang is dedicated to helping Earthrealm and fighting alongside the forces of good against the forces of evil.\We’ve seen Sub-Zero as a bad guy - twice. It’s time to see him on the side of the good guys. It would be interesting to see how they would react to him, considering who he’s related to. Bi Han killed Scorpion’s clan, his wife, and his son. Cole Young is a descendant of Scorpion, which means that Bi Han killed his ancestors. He also froze and shattered Jax’s arms. The point being, he’s done a lot of bad stuff to the good guys.\Would they blame Kuai Liang for these things? Would some of them like to seek revenge? Probably not, but it would be interesting to see what they would do. It would also just be cool (ha) in general to see Sub-Zero return to the big screen.\These were just 5 of the characters that I would love to see included in Mortal Kombat 3. But the thing about Mortal Kombat is that they have a massive roster of iconic characters that would all be amazing to see in live-action format. So, if these 5 don’t make it in the next film, that’s okay. Because I know the movie will be filled with incredible characters regardless.Read MoreVought Rising: Everything We Know So Far About The Boys Spin-offIs Mortal Kombat 2 Worth Watching?
