More than 90% of people eligible to vote early in Malta’s general election cast their vote on Saturday, according to the Electoral Commission.Early voting took place between 7am and 10pm, with 14,818 votes cast out of 16,402 registered early voters, resulting in an approximate turnout of 90.34%.The Electoral Commission also reminded voters that today is the last day to collect voting documents from police stations and local councils, with collections open until 12pm.From Monday until Thursday at noon, voting documents can instead be collected directly from the Electoral Commission offices in Naxxar.Assistant electoral commissioners and police commissioners are set to vote on Tuesday, while patients at Mater Dei, Karin Grech, Mount Carmel, Sir Anthony Mamo and Gozo General Hospital will vote on Thursday ahead of polling day on 30th May.Voting documents must be collected in person and voters are required to present their ID card.•
