I could have taken them and give them money and a place to stay. I chose to let her grow up the same as our parents did to us. We had to figure it out. Get her own place and work to live.She never begged either. My husband died when the kids were young. She was 11 then. I had enough insurance money to go to school and become a nurse so I could support my kids and myself. I worked until I was in my 60's and retired. During their teen years I know there should have been more of presence of a parent. I worked 12 and 16 hour days. I have two sons who are very successful, age 52 and 47. My daughter is married to a good man and never has to worry about money again. She did eventually become a nurse herself when she was about 30 years old. She works some part time now to keep her license. None of them went to jail or did drugs. They turned out to be good people who do not beg anyone for any thing. They worked. How did the OGB turn into a bash session on my daughter?
