Governor Lakshman Prasad Achary highlighted past infiltration challenges. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also revealed plans for a rail link across the corridor. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated this strategic breakthrough will secure transportation to the Northeast.
