Sales of Khadi and Village Industries products hit a record Rs 1,87,105 crore in 2025-26. This marks a significant increase from previous years. Production also saw a substantial jump. Employment in the sector has grown considerably, highlighting its role in rural livelihoods. The Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme also established new units, creating jobs.
