Approximately 43.59% of Malta’s registered votes were cast by 2pm, the Electoral Commission has now confirmed.This figure is noteworthy since it marks a rather significant increase of 3.14% from the last general election in 2022, which went on to go down as the one with the lowest voter turn-out since Independence, with 85.5% by the end of the day.The voting turn-out percentage by 2pm reflects the number of votes cast at the seven-hour mark out of a total of 356,663 eligible votes (95.7% of which were actually collected) have been cast in Malta’s General election thus far.
