/u/SnarkySheep on I put a post on fb. Looking for some one to wash my moms car for Mothers Day. This is in Canada. This is a response I received.

Wait 5 sec.

just the other day, I heard “traveling is a right.” Lots of people today have become rather confused about what the word "right" means. It's not that because you exist, the rest of the world should pay for it on your behalf. Rather, it's about things like housing or education, where people who had money and qualifications were turned down simply because of their race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, etc. Thus something like "right to housing" means that you can't be straight out told "no [whatever group]" even if you have money and a great rental record. It does not mean someone has to let live somewhere free of charge. The same thing could be applied to travel only that it's your right to stay in any hotel or get a ticket on any airline - presuming you have the money and behave yourself respectfully according to whatever general policies. It does not in any way mean "I want to travel the world! You pay for it." 🤦
