Samsung Display sets new record with world’s first 4K 360Hz QD-OLED panel

PC monitors with either 4K resolution or 360Hz refresh rates already exist, but Samsung Display has now unveiled the world's first monitor panel to combine both in one package.Samsung's new QD-OLED panels can run at 4K resolution and a 360Hz refresh rate simultaneously. They can also push even higher refresh rates at lower resolutions.This combination is the headline feature, and Samsung Display says it achieved this world's first 4K+360Hz combo through optimized panel circuitry.These new screens also support refresh rates of up to 680Hz at FHD resolution through Dual Mode.“A near-perfect monitor” coming to COMPUTEX 2026Beyond the record-breaking specs, these new QD-OLED panels measure 31.5 inches and feature a new V-stripe pixel structure.According to Samsung, the new pixel structure “maximizes” text readability. The improvements are meant to benefit everyone, from gamers to professional users.Samsung Display's new QD-OLED 4K 360Hz panel is also certified for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600. The display can reproduce black levels as low as 0.0005 nits while reaching 600 nits peak brightness.The new 4K 360Hz panels will be showcased at COMPUTEX 2026 in June. Samsung says it is already in talks with more than 10 global monitor brands to supply them with this revolutionary 31.5-inch panel.The company plans to begin mass production in the second half of 2026, so we should see the first PC monitors with this technology hitting the shelves by the end of the year.Chances are high these panels will also make their way into Samsung Electronics monitors, though no details are confirmed yet.Of course, pricing information is also missing as of this writing, as no actual commercial products based on this QD-OLED screen exist yet.
