Wait 5 sec.

Which is why I said it should lead to conversation. If I have a 10 year old autistic boy, I would reach out and know what questions to ask to see if what I had was of any value to the kid. The general public that doesn’t understand this may offer basic 5 year old things and some may or may not work but people would be more inclined to try to help without all of the detail and the sad story about being broke. We are all broke, yet we still are naturally inclined to help those in need especially if we have things we no longer use. I don’t know anyone that would give to Goodwill so they can pay their CEO billions rather than give to a single mom with an autistic kid. Go into detail about the child with whomever reaches out was my point, otherwise you end up in a choosing beggar thread on Reddit.
