Jharkhand students shine in COMED-K UGET-2026 - The HinduPublished - May 29, 2026 08:55 pm IST - BengaluruFive spots in the top 10 ranks in COMED-K UGET-2026, an entrance test for undergraduate courses, were taken by students from Jharkhand. One student each from Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Bihar took the remaining spots in the top 10 ranks.There were no Karnataka candidates in the top 10, but were among the first 100 rank holders.The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) announced the COMED-K UGET results on Friday.Darshil Modi from Jharkhand secured the first rank. The second rank was secured by Priyanuj Bhagabati from Jharkhand and the third by Shrestha Gupta from Uttarakhand.The others in the top 10 are Arsh Parashar who got the fourth rank, followed by Ishanka Agarwal, Aneesh Shukla- all from Jharkhand, and Narendra Babu Gari Mahith from Andhra Pradesh, Drishti Sachdeo from Chhattisgarh, Manas Jindal from Punjab, and Aditya Kumar from Bihar.The results showed that 11,207 candidates are in 90th to 100th percentile. Out of this, 3,496 candidates are from Karnataka. Similarly, 11,385 candidates are between the 80th and 90th percentile. Among this 3,207 candidates are from Karnataka. And, 10,940 candidates are between the 70th and 80th percentile, of which 3,111 candidates are from Karnataka.Rank cards of the eligible candidates will be generated and made available in their respective ‘applicant login’ on the COMEDK website (www.comedk.org).The COMED-K UGET is the gateway to around 25,000 seats in 125 private engineering colleges. As against 1,30,620 candidates who applied seeking engineering seats, around 1,10,774 (36,954 Karnataka and 73,820 non-Karnataka) candidates wrote the test on May 9.This year too, the COMED-K counselling would be conducted online, and the candidates have to upload the scanned copies of the documents through their login. These uploaded documents will be verified by the panel of expert verification officers.The number of seats available, the quantum of tuition fees and counselling dates would be notified in due course.
