ATN Corp has expanded its Blaze Series thermal monocular lineup with the launch of four Gen 6 models, anchored by a new flagship unit and spanning price points from under $500 to just under $5,000. The full Gen 6 lineup consists of the BlazeSeeker 6 210, BlazeTrek 6 325, BlazeHunter 650 LRF, and the new top-of-the-line BlazeHunter XD LRF. ATN says all four models share the same 6th Generation thermal engine, SharpIR AI-enhanced imaging, 50 Hz refresh rate, OLED display, Hot Point Tracking, six color palettes, IP67 housing, onboard recording, and ATN Connect 6 Wi-Fi pairing. The flagship BlazeHunter XD LRF is positioned as the long-range option in the family. It features a 1,280x1,024 extreme-definition sensor with sub-15mK NETD sensitivity, a 50mm germanium objective lens, 2-16x magnification, and a 1,000-meter built-in laser rangefinder. ATN claims detection out to 3,400-plus meters and describes the 1,920x1,080 Full HD OLED as delivering 300 percent more visual detail than standard-resolution thermal viewers. Battery life is rated at 10-plus hours. The BlazeHunter 650 LRF steps down to a 640x512 sensor with an NETD rating at or below 18mK. It also includes the 1,000-yard integrated laser rangefinder and is aimed at hunters wanting a single unit that handles both scanning and ranging duties before transitioning to a rifle optic. Today, do you use a dedicated thermal monocular for scouting, or do you rely on a thermal scope on your rifle for everything? The BlazeTrek 6 325 runs a 384x288 sensor with the same sub-18mK NETD and a 25mm germanium lens. ATN puts its detection range at 1,300 meters and lists 2.8-22x magnification in a 320-gram IP67 housing. The entry-level BlazeSeeker 6 210 drops to a 256x192 sensor with an NETD rating at or below 20mK and 460-meter detection, housed in a 270-gram body with 8-hour battery life, all at an under-$500 price point.ATN CEO James Munn commented on the lineup's design intent: "Hunters have been telling us the same thing for years: they want flagship thermal performance, but they don't want to pay flagship pricing to get it. Whether you're spending under $500 on a BlazeSeeker or stepping into the 1,280×1,024 BlazeHunter XD, you're getting the same 6th Generation core, the same SharpIR AI, and the same American engineering."Munn added: "Sixth Generation isn't a marketing label, it's a real leap in image processing, sensitivity, and durability. We built it for the way our customers actually hunt: hogs at 200 yards in heavy cover, coyotes crossing a fence line at 400, search and rescue working a tree line at 2 a.m." All four Blaze Series Gen 6 models are available now at atncorp.com and through authorized dealers nationwide. The BlazeHunter XD LRF carries an MSRP of $4,995. The BlazeHunter 650 LRF is priced at $2,895. The BlazeTrek 6 325 lists at $1,195, and the BlazeSeeker 6 210 comes in at $569.For more information, visit atncorp.com.At what price point does a thermal monocular become a realistic purchase for your hunting setup? As always, I recommend buyers of thermals to compare and benchmark, preferably in the conditions that you hunt and not inside the shop where everything is perfect, to make an educated purchase.
