Fourteen young footballers from Juventus Academy Malta enjoyed an impressive run at the 41st edition of the prestigious Trofeo Morandini in Penne, Pescara, finishing as runners-up after reaching the final.The squad, made up of players born in 2014 and 2015, travelled to Italy to compete against several strong youth teams from across the country.Over two days of competition, the Maltese side secured victories against Pescara, Ternana and Penne, earning a place in the tournament final against San Benedettese.The final proved to be a closely fought contest, with Juventus Academy Malta narrowly losing 1-0.Despite falling just short of lifting the trophy, the academy’s young players delivered a memorable performance throughout the tournament and gained valuable experience competing at a high level.This marked Juventus Academy Malta’s second participation in the renowned competition, with this year’s runners-up finish representing another significant achievement for the academy and its promising young talents.Would you like to see more Maltese teams competing abroad?•
