My 17 year old daughter has been struggling with endometriosis for the last year. It has taken multiple doctors (pediatric, Endocrinologist, GI, internal medicine and an OBGYN), multiple ER visits, a colonoscopy and laparoscopy to get a “likely”‘diagnosis since she has not had laparoscopic exploratory surgery. She has all the symptoms and we have an appointment with a specialist in three months. The trouble is her quality of life is poor and I feel helpless as her mother to relieve her symptoms. She is on an antihistamine and prophylactic nausea medicine to no avail. She has extreme fatigue and constant nausea. The birth control has seemed to help with the heavy periods. The specialist is my only hope at this point. Any other moms or women suffering as well who can provide advice or encouragement? submitted by /u/Significant-Sea9087 [link] [comments]
