Since then, illegal border crossings have been down over 99 percent.The previous four years under Biden’s open border policy resulted in an estimated 15 million illegal aliens entering the country. This crisis has kept law enforcement agencies like the Texas DPS constantly working to arrest illegals and smugglers.Texas DPS went on a high-speed chase with a human smuggler carrying six illegal aliens earlier this week in Maverick County.After the DPS trooper used a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle, which was a Jeep Grand Cherokee, the smuggler, Yoisdelvis Nunez Acosta, made an attempt to hide in the brush but was captured. He was reported to be from Cuba.DPS troopers also found another vehicle involved in the smuggling operation acting as a scout vehicle. Alexander Rodriguez Acosta was driving a red RAM 1500 pickup truck. Both men were arrested for human smuggling.Air support was also provided by DPS Aircraft Operations.There were six illegal aliens in the vehicle from Mexico and Vietnam. He attempted to flee on foot but was quickly caught.
