One UI 8.5 is now available for the Galaxy M36

Samsung is continuing to roll out the One UI 8.5 update to more devices. The update, whose rollout was accelerated to several mid-range and entry-level devices last week, is now available for the Galaxy M36 in South Korea. The update has a download size of around 3GB and includes the May 2026 security patch to improve the phone’s security.Samsung is expected to release the update in additional countries and markets over the next few days.If you own a Galaxy M36 or Galaxy Jump 4 in South Korea, you can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. Once the required files have been downloaded to your phone, tap Install now to begin the installation process.Samsung launched the Galaxy M36 with Android 15-based One UI 7.0 out of the box. It received the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update in September 2025 and is now receiving the One UI 8.5 update.
