I’ve had an ultrasound on my pelvis about a month ago and they found what looked like multiple endometriosis cysts on my right ovary. I’ve just had my gp telephone appointment today to go over the results and he confirmed I had 3 chocolate cysts on my right ovary and than he planned to just send me for another ultrasound to see if they grow in 4 months. I asked to be referred to a gyno because I know the waiting lists are really long in the uk and he was initially hesitant. I had to explain to him that these cysts are causing issues and I’ve had painful nauseating periods for years and I need to have them sorted now. He didn’t even initially offer any pain relief or any other checks like an mri or hormone control anything… just another ultrasound. He has send a message and referral through but that a gyno might even not see me until I’ve had more ultrasounds. And he has offered more painful relief and a blood test to see why I’m so tired all the time which I’m certain is from the endo.
