Well, you can't put the kids back in. They're here, they need to be fed. Circumstances change. If you were making 200k a year in Kansas, yeah you could do that many kids easily. Then you get laid off and...now what? Just all quietly starve at home? We need to extend some compassion instead of just blaming kids for being born. This person is just stating the reality that "just go to a food bank" isn't a sustainable option for most households. In the "richest nation on earth" it's CRIMINAL that we aren't kinder to people who are hungry, regardless of cause. And yes, I donate monthly to my local food bank, because any one thing in my life could change and I'd be there too.
