Fidelity Bank has rewarded Emmanuel Appiah Boateng with GH¢10,000 after he demonstrated what the bank described as an outstanding act of honesty and integrity.According to the bank, the Good Samaritan found GH¢4,000 at one of its automated teller machines (ATMs) but chose not to keep the money. Instead, he immediately contacted the bank’s Customer Contact Centre and reported the cash.His prompt action enabled the money to be traced and returned to its rightful owner.Announcing the reward in a social media post, Fidelity Bank said Mr Boateng’s conduct stood out as a powerful example of integrity at a time when such values are increasingly being discussed in society.“Fidelity Bank has rewarded Emmanuel Appiah Boateng with GHS 10,000 in recognition of an outstanding act of honesty and integrity,” the bank stated.The bank noted that after finding the money at the ATM, Mr Boateng took the responsible step of alerting officials rather than claiming the cash for himself.“Mr Boateng found GH¢4,000 at one of the Bank’s ATMs and immediately contacted our Customer Contact Centre, ensuring that the money was returned to its rightful owner,” the statement said.Fidelity Bank said the gesture reflects the importance of honesty and ethical conduct in everyday life.“At a time when integrity is often spoken about, his actions served as a powerful reminder of its value,” the bank added.“We congratulate Mr Boateng and celebrate the character and honesty he has demonstrated,” Fidelity Bank stated.
