Lego opened orders for its Sega Genesis console set, and it confirmed parts will be included to make it look like the Genesis or Mega Drive. The set costs $39.99. It follows the release of the Lego set of the system’s controller, which now can be rather difficult to find at stores. This is a 480 piece set that allows someone to build a system that looks like the original version of the console without the label that said “high definition graphics.” There’s no option to shift things around to make it look like the II variant. People can build the Sega Genesis or Master System if you swap some parts around the ring, switches, and logos. Two controllers are also available to build, which can be attached to the model. There’s also a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 cartridge replica that can fit in the slot. It consists of 480 pieces and is recommended for ages 12 and up. Like many of these sets, there is an Easter egg. If you lift the top, there is a hidden portrait of Sonic. Here’s how it all looks: Images via Lego and Sega Some past console and handheld Lego replicas include an Atari, Game Boy and an NES with TV. The Lego Sega Genesis that can also be a Mega Drive console is available now. We may earn a commission if you purchase from certain links.
