Before surgery, I dealt with terrible muscle spams and dull ache post-sex. I’ve never had pain during insertion, but once I finish, the pain would linger for days. I had my excision surgery 6 weeks hoping that the surgery would fix this issue, but I am still dealing with pain after orgasms. I cannot tell if it’s because 1. I’m still in the beginning phases of recovery so that’s why it still hurts, 2. I’m having my first period post-surgery so the orgasm pain is worst (I naively thought this would relieve my period pain), or 3. the surgery just didn’t really help with the pain at all. The pain feels worst than before, and now travels to my left lower back and I’ve found relief from using a heating pad.
