An estimated 87.4% of eligible voters cast their ballot in Malta’s general election, marking a significant increase from the record-low turnout of 85.5% registered in 2022.According to Electoral Commission figures, 311,949 votes were cast by the time polling stations closed at 10pm on Saturday. The estimate includes votes submitted during early voting sessions held throughout the week.This year’s election saw 356,832 registered voters, nearly 2,000 more than in 2022.
