$300 of $25,000 has been raised so far (from just one person): https://www.gofundme.com/f/justice-for-josh-carpenter I looked into these two brothers a little online and discovered that the one recently arrested (Joshua), actually works/worked as a Sales Manager/Family Service Director for a company that owns multiple funeral homes and cemeteries! Here is his Indeed profile: https://imgur.com/gallery/3XYUVAe The brother, Jeremy, recently posted on HIS Reddit account that, "[y]es he could get a public defender. But this case here that he's sitting in jail for right now I'm not even worried about he could go in there and stand up and not say a word and beat it. I'm talking about the cost of suing them for civil rights violation when this is all said and done. Because I've been advised that that is what we need to do." 🤣🤣🤣 Hmmmm, they should have probably arranged for a FREE consultation BEFORE asking for the $25,000... Then at least, they would discover that: 1) They have no case; and 2) Civil rights attorneys usually handle "police misconduct" (or similar) cases on a contingency fee basis, meaning they do not have to pay any upfront costs and the lawyer only gets paid if they recover a settlement or jury award.
