Our kids had two first birthday parties each. Family one where we had dinner out with the grandparents and “friends” one where we had three or four “mum friends” with similar age babies come round to sing baby songs and play on the rug. Neither party had decorations or outfits (except maybe a nicer dress for baby than usual lol). I was well aware the parties were more for me and the budgets were minimal.
