I mean, there can be a reason to get personal about it all if the people going over the top for their kids are begging other people for money in order to be able to do so. If a parent wants to buy designer shit for their child on their own dime, i might judge them but I also recognise that other people's choices and expenditure are none of my business. But if they're asking for money from me to be able to make that purchase, then that makes it my business.
