Yes, shipping to California is really expensive, my mom got a quote of the price at USPS- and the lady paid for the shipping! But yes it was $400 for a 4 pound 3 1/2 foot rolling bag I shipped an 8 oz item to Canada- it was $50. I shipped a 10 pound 12X40 box to Utah (it was a canvas.) and it costed a little over $100. There was likely some type of deal with USPS on the car via the carrier, which is why Mercari shipping is $7 instead of the standard $10-$15 shipping outside of an app. Shipping outside of an app simply just through usps is extremely, extremely expensive
