Slightly confused - follow up in three months time?

Wait 5 sec.

Last year in July, I went to see an endometriosis specialist and he suggested a diagnostic lap. I just had surgery yesterday and I've been left feeling a bit confused. I had my first lap around 10 years ago where they said it was "mild endo" and just put me on BC. Had another a few years later, was told they found nothing. Fast forward to yesterday, I was anxious to find out if they found anything. as soon as I opened my eyes in recovery, I asked the closest nurse. She said they found no endo at all, but they'd like to put me back on zoladex. I cried for literally an hour due to feeling like it's all in my head, even though I know it mostly certainly isn't. I got home and read my discharge letter - " Planned admission for diagnostic laparoscopy. Intra-operatively, pinpoint endometriosis spots were noted in both ovarian fossas, uterosacral ligaments and pouch of Douglas." I never got to speak to the surgeon after my op, I was told I will receive a follow up appointment with him in three months time. I'm not sure why the nurse told me they didn't find anything even though the report says they found spots in three different places. Are spots not considered endometriosis? (/s they basically said they noted endometriosis spots). Really sorry for the rant, I'm just in a lot of pain and feel a bit lost. If you've made it this far, thank you for taking time out of your day ❤️ submitted by /u/Smokahontasz [link] [comments]
