Irad Ortiz, Jr. has ridden Renegade in each of his four previous appearances and five of his six career starts and has a return call from trainer Todd Pletcher just after 7 p.m. on Saturday.The Derby winner's name was the first pulled out of the box and the homebred colt, whose trainer Cherie DeVaux became the first of her gender to win the Run for the Roses, was assigned the outside stall and was pegged as the 9-2 third choice. Golden Tempo arrived in Saratoga late Sunday following a van ride from Keeneland.Trainer Bill Mott sent out future Horse of the Year Sovereignty (Into Mischief) to add last year's Belmont to his prior victory in the Derby and 'TDN Rising Star' presented by Hagyard Chief Wallabee (Constitution) carries the hopes of the stable in the 10-furlong contest on the weekend.
