curious if others have had this experience or anything similar. from 2022-2024 i chased what i believed was an endo diagnosis, going through 3 different doctors and getting ultrasounds/blood tests, everything short of actual surgery to confirm. getting any sort of response beyond "it's probably stress" or "just get an IUD/go on the pill and the symptoms will stop" was like pulling teeth. none of the gyns really took it seriously that i believed i had endo. i begged for an MRI because ultrasounds werent showing anything but they wouldn't go for surgery so i wanted at least better imaging. in 2024 my MRI showed 'evidence of deep infiltrating endometriosis.' i still haven't had a lap, but ever since that MRI the doctors are now just saying that every symptom i claim to experience is probably from the endometriosis -- the thing that they were so sure I didn't even have, and still have not officially confirmed, but now has just become a convenient way to shrug me off. and they STILL won't consider surgery. i started seeing a digestive health specialist as well due to a lot of severe and longterm digestion issues i'd been having, and without really doing any additional testing they look at my records and just say "oh this is probably the endo." like okay??? and now what are you able to do about it?? i feel extremely dismissed, even more now than before the MRI. submitted by /u/tesseract_cat [link] [comments]
