Kumaraswamy, B.S. Yediyurappa, and Siddaramaiah would be remembered for their contribution towards the development of the State through pro-people schemes and would remain in the hearts of the people.He was addressing a gathering after laying a foundation stone in the Gurmitkal Assembly Constituency on Monday (June 1) for the construction of roads in Thavaru Naik tanda, Tanu Naik tanda, Horuncha village, Yargol village, and Yaddalli village. These works are a part of the macro-project undertaken using a grant of ₹7 crore from the Kalyan Karnataka Regional Development Board.Recalling the contributions of the former Chief Ministers, Mr. Kandkur said that Mr. Kumarswamy waived off farmers’ loans, held Janata Darshana and Gram Vastavya, and implemented Suvarna Gram schemes; Mr. Yediyurappa implemented the Bhagya Lakshmi scheme and distributed free cycles; and Mr. Siddaramaiah implemented the five guarantee schemes. Satyabodhacharya of Uttaradhi Mutt and others were present.He expressed hope that Chief Minister-designate D.K. Shivakumar continued their legacies.
