Walt Disney World Resort has confirmed the closure of yet another portion of Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park as construction continues on a new area inspired by Cars (2006). The Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Square Riverboat all closed last year to make way for the new mini-land, and construction has been underway ever since.Piston Peak National Park, inspired by the landscapes of national parks throughout the United States, will feature two Cars-inspired rides that differ from those in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park: a rally race thrill ride and a family-friendly attraction introducing a new character, Ranger J.
